The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place on Friday, June 20. Though many LGBT-inclusive projects were nominated, we were eager to see which would go home with trophies.

The perpetually funny and popular Ellen DeGeneres took home her fourth consecutive Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host (presented by none other than As the World Turns' Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann, of "Nuke" fame), while her series, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, won an additional three awards, including Outstanding Art Direction, Directing and Sound Mixing. Way to go, Ellen!

Watch Ellen present the award for Outstanding Game Show, and you'll see why she won Outstanding Talk Show Host so many times!

On a side note, the always fabulous and gay-friendly Tyra Banks picked up her first-ever statuette, winning for Outstanding Informative Talk Show. In her acceptance speech, the former supermodel said, "I just have a message for everyone out there: When you have a dream, there are going to be so many people that tell you that you cannot do it, that you are not good enough. And I want you to tell them to kiss your dimply, flat, juicy, bootylicious, skinny, jiggly, saggy, fat ass!" Tyra, you are too funny!

Check out a segment of the episode Tyra submitted to the academy that clinched her win.
